Welcome to See For Me. Your privacy and security are our top priorities. This Privacy Policy explains how See For Me ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our Android mobile application.

By using See For Me, you agree to the practices outlined in this policy.

1. The Accessibility Service API

See For Me relies on the Android AccessibilityService API to function. Because this is a powerful system permission, we want to be completely transparent about how we use it:

• Why we use it: The AccessibilityService API is required to capture a screenshot of your active screen when you trigger the application's predefined shortcut. This allows the app to "see" unlabelled buttons, images without alt-text, or other inaccessible visual elements so that we can provide an audio description.
• What we access: When triggered, the service accesses the visual content currently displayed on your screen.
• What we do NOT do: We do not continuously record your screen in the background. The Accessibility Service is only invoked when you explicitly trigger it. We do not use this permission to observe your typing, steal credentials, or track your activity across other applications.

2. Information We Collect and How We Use It

See For Me is designed to operate seamlessly and anonymously. We do not require you to create an account, log in, or provide personal identifiers like your name or email address.

A. Screen Data and Images When you activate See For Me, the app captures a screenshot of your current screen.

• Processing: This image is securely transmitted to our backend server, which acts as a bridge to the Google AI API (Gemini model) to analyze the image and generate a text description.
• Ephemeral Handling: Your screen data is handled ephemerally. Images are held in memory strictly for the time it takes to generate the audio description. Screenshots are never saved, stored on our servers, or used to train AI models. They are immediately discarded after the text description is returned to your device.

B. App Usage, Analytics, and Crash Data To improve the application, we use Firebase to collect anonymous telemetry data.

• This includes crash reports, device type, operating system version, and general event tracking (e.g., how often the app is triggered).
• This data contains no personally identifiable information and is used exclusively to fix bugs and optimize app performance.

C. Purchase and Subscription Data We use RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases and subscriptions.

• Because See For Me uses an anonymous usage model, RevenueCat relies on anonymous App User IDs tied to your device's underlying Google Play store account.
• We do not have access to your credit card information or billing details.

3. Third-Party Services

We share anonymous data with select third-party service providers solely to facilitate the core functions of the app:

• Google AI API (Gemini): Used to analyze screenshots and generate contextual text descriptions.
• Firebase: Used for analytics, crash reporting, and A/B testing.
• RevenueCat: Used to process and manage your anonymous subscription status.

These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and are restricted from using your data for their own marketing purposes.

4. Data Security

We implement commercially reasonable security measures to protect the information transmitted through our app. By acting as an intermediary between your device and the Google AI API, our backend server ensures that API keys remain secure and that your image payloads are handled securely and ephemerally.

5. Children's Privacy

See For Me does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take necessary actions.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
